Hi guys,
since Odyssee, the number of visitors to our wh has significantly increased and we embrace the opportunity to learn more about wh PVP. We are happy to go after visitors but being not PVP pros (yet) we often learn from defeat  .
Particularily, visitors in cloaky Proteus seem to develop into a pest. I understand that you need neuts as counter. However, still being on the steep part of learning curve, I rather do not want to get in Loki or other T3's to chase Proteus visitors (ISK wise and skill point loss wise).
I wanted to ask you if there are neut/dps fits around for cheaper alternatives, e.g. T1 or T2 cruisers, BC's for playing with the Proteus?
Any suggestions for fits or strategies would be welcome. Anything that helps to go after them .. even if I still die trying to learn the ropes.

If you want to go cheaper use a few dragoons or an armageddon(doesn't die as fast as the others).
Thanks for the interesting suggestions. Have not considered Amaar ships because my toons are either CaldarixGallente or Minmatar. Will check with evemon how long it will take to train up? Any particular fits suggested?

Imho you need something that remains cloaked all the time and is never seen by the intruder until it decloaks on him and kills him. Since you should always scout your static anyway, just cloak a Falcon or Pilgrim there as soon as you log in.

Falcon should be no problem but Pilgrim I cannot fly for a long time. I could cloak up the Falcon and have an alt in non-threat ship T1 prober at POS to re-ship to DPS/Neut ship as soon the Falcon get the visitor locked-down. Any recommendations for that role? Vexor/Myrm? Probably, we all will die when his/hers friends show up but as long as it is a GF who cares. |
